Students understand ramps and how they increase momentum and decrease work. They use the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to construct a marble run, learning about ramps, gravity, potential energy, and kinetic energy. Using simple materials, students design a series of tunnels or obstacles for the marble to travel through to the end.
