SYEP Instructions
Congratulations on your acceptance to New York Bioforce! As part of the program, the internship portion is paid through the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). Therefore, you will need to submit Part 2 of the SYEP application through their portal. It is crucial to carefully follow all the directions provided below, as incomplete or incorrect documentation will not be accepted. This ensures a smooth and successful application process, allowing you to fully benefit from the internship opportunity and get paid.

If you already have a login for the participant’s website, you can use your username and password from previous years.
If you do not have a login, you must create an account.

Complete and electronically sign the following required forms:

SYEP FAQs
I SUBMITTED MY SYEP APPLICATION. NOW WHAT HAPPENS?

Great! After uploading your documents successfully, you will receive an email from Hats and Ladders to complete your orientation. Once you start the orientation, you will have 10 days to complete it. This must be submitted by May 2nd, 2024.

HOW DO I GET PAID?
​
Depending on your attendance and participation, you will receive a weekly stipend in the form of a check. You can choose to have your stipend paychecks to be deposited directly into your bank account. If you choose to do direct deposit, you will need to set it up through the Get Banked NYC website. A secure, federal banking institution is required for the direct deposit option. You cannot use Chime, CashAPP, or a Chase First account. ​
